CAAMP’s Canadian Mortgage Industry Course has been approved by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) as meeting the education requirements for mortgage agents for the purpose of transition. When the new Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act (the Act) becomes law on July 1, 2008, mortgage agents with less than two years of experience must complete formal training in order to be licensed to deal in mortgages.
Who Should Attend This Course?
• mortgage agents who will have less than two years of experience as an agent when the Act becomes law on July 1, 2008
• mortgage agents who have not successfully completed a course approved for licensing by FSCO
Approved courses are posted on the FSCO website www.fsco.ca.
About the Course
• the course runs over two days and includes a final examination
• prior to the first day, participants must read the course textbook and complete a pre-course quiz based on the textbook and submit it to CAAMP
• the course runs from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. each day and participants must attend both days to qualify to write the exam
• the cost is $295 + GST and includes the textbook, all course materials and the exam
• the course also qualifies as an AMP proficiency course
